Here’s my thing
There is this Greek singing competition at UofL and all of the sororities and fraternities compete. This is the first year they have even mentioned any type of philanthropy, the money is just pocketed and the venue raises the ticket prices every year.
Some people get really into it but I am proud of Chi Omega for not giving a crap. We have homework, tests, jobs, and a hundred other things going on. We have seriously spent no more than 3 or 4 hours a week practicing for only about 4 weeks. We still don’t know half of the words or dance moves and it is seriously so much fun. I spend all my time hysterically laughing because its fun and not competitive. I would much rather continue getting first in grades and having girls involved and being able to balance their personal lives than flush countless time and money on unimportant things. It reminds me why I picked Chi O, genuine sisterhood.
That’s my rant.
(Chi O fam picture from last year, minus my grandbig. Can’t wait to add my babe little to our picture this year!)
